Avery's birthday party

We had Avery's birthday party last night. We did a pizza and pedicures party. The girls (10 plus Avery!) came in their pajamas, ate pizza and then got pedicures. Our babysitter from across the street and her friend came to help out with the pedicures.

While their nails dried, they did a little craft.
Cooper wanted to participate in the craft part (he actually didn't want his nails painted;)
Next was presents and Avery did very well for herself! Lucky girl :) She has some nice friends.

After presents, it was time for brownies and ice cream!
Yummy!

To wind down, we threw down pillows and put on a movie...
...that lasted for about half an hour and then they were off playing again. Avery had a great time!
(On Avery's actually birthday she got to go to build-a-bear with grammy and auntie and mommy and Cooper. I have pictures from that too that are also on the non-working memory card. So, hopefully I will have more pictures to post soon!)

Merry Christmas!

Christmas morning is when my camera decided to stop working--my memory card anyway. So, most of my Christmas pictures are on a card that my camera can't read. I am hoping the 'Geek Squad' can figure it out! Here is a picture of the kids in their new shirts...Avery's chihuahua shirt from Santa (she wanted a real one, but got the shirt and a webkinz instead!) and Cooper's 'motorcycle' shirt as he calls it. He has worn it 5 days in a row!

Because we didn't travel home for Christmas, we had an overflow of gifts all under our tree! Here are the kiddos taking a break on their new bean bags.

Merry (early) Christmas!!!

We missed going out in the snow in Maine to cut our own tree this year. A grass lot on the side of the road just doesn't have the same feeling. However, we got a very nice tree and the kids had fun helping us decorate it. Make a silly face Coop!
Papa was down our way for a business conference and we were lucky enough to have him come over for dinner and bedtime stories :)

Looking up at the lights.
Avery loves decorating for holidays :)
Matt is leaving tomorrow on detachment for three weeks. So, we celebrated with our little family early today. We opened gifts from each other and let the kids each open one from us.
Cooper was SO excited to open up a matchbox truck that hauls matchbox cars! :)

Avery wore her Christmas dress for the occasion (so cute!) She was very excited to open up a Barbie pet vet set :)
Matt was very excited to open up a new toy too--PS3! And a new game and controller from Mom and Dad (mine). We were both excited to open a Keurig coffee machine from Mom & Dad (his) and I was excited to open a beautiful diamond ring from my hubby!
Here is our little family Christmas photo. We are grateful that we had today to spend together.

Disney Weekend

Swimming in December! We rented a house with Jim, Julie and the kids...here they all are swimming in the heated pool at the rental house. They stayed in there forever!

Christmas light show at Hollywood Studios
Being fish at Finding Nemo

Cooper doesn't want any more pictures!
Okay, maybe one more!

Thanksgiving and November pictures

The Publix Pilgrim pair :) We had a very nice dinner here with our good friends, the McDonalds.Turkey man apron.

We went to a Santa's village in St. Augustine. Here are the kids in an elf house.

and with Snoopy.

and riding on a little train.

We didn't get to see Santa that day, but when we left there, we found a little park to play in.

Soccer season ends!

Here they are...the last pictures of Avery playing soccer! We made it through the season and are proud of her that she stuck to it even though soccer "is not her thing" as she says.

Here she is receiving her trophy from coach Megan at the end of the season party. It has been an interesting season...a young coach who ended up having her mom and dad step in to help. We started the season playing duck duck goose instead of soccer...it took a while and some frustrated parents to get things moving...
...and we ended the season with this bizarre soccer trophy! It was just the icing on the cake of a very strange soccer season.
However, we ended the season with smiles, so that's a good thing! Way to go Avery!
